Like its chefs, n/naka is Los Angeles-born witha deep respect for its Japanese heritage and California roots.

Created from an intensely personal perspective, Chefs Niki Nakayama and Carole Iida-Nakayama pay homage to Japanese traditions while imagining new boundaries that reflect their California upbringing.

With sincere reverence for Japan, California, and the kaiseki philosophy, n/naka showcases the best ingredients, craftsmanship, and artistry from both worlds, celebrating nature in its time and place.


WHEN ARE RESERVATIONS RELEASED?
Reservations are released every Sunday at 10:00 am for the corresponding week one month ahead. We offer two seatings, an early seating at 5:15pm and 5:30pm and a late seating at 8:45pm and 9:00pm.

WHAT IS THE MAXIMUM SEATING CAPACITY?
We are able to accommodate a maximum party size of 5 guests. For larger parties, please email us at [email protected].

WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
All reservation deposits are final and non-refundable. Decreases in party size will not receive a deposit refund. You may transfer your reservation to another person via Tock. Any day-of cancellations or no-shows will be charged the full amount of dinner per person. If you do not confirm your reservation by phone, email or SMS, we will unfortunately have to cancel your reservation. Reservations made through Tock are for individual and personal use only. Those resold for commercial purposes and may be canceled at our discretion.

DO YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS?
While we do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions, please note that in order to maintain the integrity of our dishes, there are certain requests we cannot facilitate—including, but not limited to: no fish/seafood, meat only, no vegetables, no butter, no cooked alcohol and severe bean or gluten allergies that would exclude all soy sauce or miso.

WHAT IS THE CORKAGE FEE?
Our corkage fee is 100.00 per 750ml bottle and limited to wine that is not represented on our list. We politely request that guests refrain from bringing their own sake as we’ve taken great care to curate a sake list that is both unique and special. We request that you limit one bottle for every two guests at the table.

We offer valet parking behind the restaurant on Lawler Street.
